At 1 mile they put the engines to IDLE, to prevent the jet-wash from blowing sand, people, or cars off the beach

there actually is an airport like this. it lands right over a beach. the pixels aren't off so shut up.

Most people here don't realise that this is actually real. I didn't know about this when I first went to St Martin (or however it's called in English) and I was almost scared to death when l lay on the beach :/
